PICKING UP YOUR SHARE: Organically Grown delivers on alternating Saturdays, usually around noon. Cases are marked with amounts alloted to each share, and then arranged in an aisle, cafeteria style. We will phone all customers when shares are ready for pickup. Shares are self-serve, using our written guidelines of amounts. We will provide cardboard boxes for storage, and a scale for those items apportioned by weight. We encourage any customers willing to show early to help set up (this may be your opportunity to secure the choicest items possible). When finished, all that is left is to bring the complete share to the duty cashier to mark off as issued. Produce is freshest when picked up on the day of delivery, and our storage space is limited—we ask you to contact us in advance if you would like us to hold your share over the weekend.
EXTRA PRODUCE: Once most shares are distributed, all surplus produce will be available to the public at retail rates, while supplies last. Additionally, single items in bulk quantity may special ordered, at Buyers Club rates. We hope to support regional farmers in sustainable agriculture and provide you with the best flavor and nutrition available in organic foods. Through your choices, you are helping create a healthy future by expanding the market for locally grown food. As a member supported organization, we are always on the lookout for enthusiastic new team members. If you wish to take a more active role in specific products to we provide, or have a more general interest in advancing our Produce Share program’s effectiveness, please contact us.
